1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Vista ("Vista", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data in connection with our tender coconut, dairy, oils, spices and fresh produce delivery service in Singapore. This Policy is made in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012) of Singapore ("PDPA").

By browsing our website, contacting us via WhatsApp, placing an order, or otherwise providing us with your personal data, you agree to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not provide us with your personal data or place an order with us.

As a small business, Vista does not have a dedicated Data Protection Officer or team. In accordance with Section 11(3) of the PDPA, which allows the designated individual to be an existing business owner or staff member rather than a new hire, all data protection matters are handled directly by the business owner / management, who can be reached using the contact details in Section 15 below.

3. Personal Data We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

Name and contact details (mobile number, delivery address);
Order details (products purchased, quantities, delivery instructions, order history);
Payment-related information (e.g. PayNow transaction reference; we do not store your bank login credentials or full card numbers);
Communications you send us via WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook or e-mail;
Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, where our website or ordering platform uses analytics or cookies.

4. How We Collect Your Data

Directly from you, when you message us on WhatsApp to place an order or ask a question;
When you place an order through our online ordering platform (currently hosted by our third-party partner, Neartail);
When you make payment via PayNow;
Automatically, through cookies or similar technologies on our website (see Section 9);
From our delivery partners, where they share delivery confirmation or feedback with us.

5. Purposes for Which We Use Your Data

We collect, use and disclose your personal data for the following purposes:

Processing, fulfilling and delivering your orders;
Verifying and reconciling payments made via PayNow;
Responding to enquiries and providing customer service;
Notifying you about issues with your order (e.g. delivery delays, replacements);
Improving our products, services and website;
Sending order-related and, where you have consented, marketing messages (e.g. new product updates, promotions);
Complying with our legal and regulatory obligations, including under the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) framework and tax or accounting requirements.

7. Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties

We may disclose your personal data to:

Our online ordering platform provider (Neartail) to process your order;
Delivery riders / partners, to the extent necessary to deliver your order;
Payment service providers / banks, for PayNow payment verification;
Professional advisers, auditors or regulators, where required by law.

We require third parties who process personal data on our behalf to protect it to a standard comparable to the PDPA, whether they are located in Singapore or overseas.

8. Overseas Transfer of Personal Data

If any of our service providers store or process personal data outside Singapore (for example, cloud hosting or messaging platforms), we will take reasonable steps to ensure the data receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA, including through contractual clauses where appropriate.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Only strictly necessary / functional cookies are used.

Where cookies are used for analytics or advertising purposes, we will seek your consent before setting them, and you may manage or withdraw consent through your browser settings or any cookie preference tool provided on our website.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law (for example, accounting and tax record-keeping requirements), after which it will be securely deleted or anonymised.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Subject to applicable exceptions under the PDPA, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you;
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
Withdraw consent for the collection, use or disclosure of your personal data;
Ask us about the ways your personal data has been used or disclosed in the past year.

To exercise these rights, please contact the business owner/management using the details in Section 2. We will respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 calendar days.

13. Children's Data

Our services are intended for adults who are able to place and pay for orders. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate parental or guardian consent.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised "Last updated" date.
